I’m pretty sure you got the message that this week’s What I Wore post will contain casual outfits. But I’m not sure you are prepared for exactly how casual some of these outfits are. Lol! I’m a day late with this post since I’m trying to do a Wednesday What I Wore series, but I guess it is better to be late than never.
Previous What I Wore posts:

I bought this Navy Crewneck T-shirt (Large) last year, and I loved it so much that I also bought it in white and light gray. When you see the description on the website, this tee is called cropped. I’m 5’6″ tall, and as you can see, the tee hits my right at hip level.

I paired the tee with these Wide Leg Chino Pants (Size 8). I’m trying to wear something more than jeans and leggings, but it is a struggle. These chinos look more elevated than jeans, and they are just as comfortable.
2. A Fun Graphic Tee and Fringed Jeans

Have I mentioned that I love a cute graphic tee? They add personality to your wardrobe, and I love wearing them with jeans and a blazer for an elevated casual look.

No, I’ve never been to New York, so this isn’t a tee that I picked up in a souvenir shop. This cute New York Crop Graphic Tee (Medium) is a new find that reminds me that visiting New York is on my bucket list. Maybe Joe and I will go this year when the Christmas tree and lights are up.

I paired the tee with a couple of other new finds. I’ve worn NYDJ jeans for years, but the NYDJ Frayed Hem Crop Jeans (Size 8) are new. I love the ankle length, the straight leg fit, and the slightly frayed hem. The Leopard Suede Sneakers c/o Dolce Vita are too stinking cute! They are incredibly comfortable and stylish, but you might need to trim the insole when they arrive.
3. Let’s Go To The Gym

Here is an outfit I wore to the gym and then kept on for the rest of the day. I wasn’t doing cardio, so I didn’t get hot and sweaty. I always try to wear leggings or slim joggers when I go to exercise so that there isn’t any extra fabric that could get caught in any of the machines.

I am the opposite when it comes to my tops because I like them to be loose and flowy. If I’m hot, I use them to billow in and out to cool me off. With Ease Tees (Medium) are my favorite tee to wear around the house or exercise in.

This inverted V pleat in the back gives the top its flowy fit and is a nice detail as you walk out of the room. I like that my backside is fully covered, so that’s another plus.

I’ve said over and over that I’m not a fan of compression leggings. Turns out that I was just trying the wrong kind of leggings. The SPANX Look at Me Now Seamless Leggings (XL) are fabulous! They hold me in, but I don’t feel overly confined. These leggings have a ribbed weave to them, and they aren’t shiny and slick like other compression leggings I’ve tried.
As I mentioned, I wasn’t doing cardio, so the New Balance Cross Trainers (Sized down to an 8.5) were just fine. They are great for light exercise and walking, but I probably would want something more beefy if I were running.
4. An Elevated Sweatshirt Style Pullover and Trouser Flare Jeans

Listen, I like a sweatshirt as much as the next person. They are soft and cozy, and are perfect for relaxing around the house. But why not buy a sweatshirt-style top that looks elevated? It can be just as soft and cozy but look 1000% better!

I’ve worn the ELENI PULLOVER (Large) before on my What I Wore series. You might see that happen from time to time, and some of the things I wear might be old and not available in stores. In this case, I love the beautiful pink shade of the top, and I like how I feel when I’m wearing it. Clothing should make you feel something, and this top makes me happy.

The SPANX ReDefine Flare Jeans (Size 10) fit like a glove! I have a pair of SPANX flare jeans that I’ve had for years, and I wanted to try some of their newer versions. The other pair I have is a pull-on style and doesn’t have pockets. I was pleasantly surprised when this pair arrived, and I quickly ripped off the tag. I always size up when I’m ordering from SPANX, and the size 10 fits me perfectly.
5. Outfit For Out Of The House!

Since I work from home most of the time, I don’t need to dress up very much. My daughter and I were going to our local country club to take some photos, so I put on an elevated casual outfit. I’m sure the other women out there wonder what the heck I’m doing since they see me constantly changing clothes. Lol!

This V-Neck Lightweight Knit Sweater (Large) is gorgeous!!! I love the blue color, but I think my lighting has it brighter than it is in person. The open-weave design reminds me of bird feathers, so I’m calling this my peacock sweater. You can layer this over a button-up shirt or wear a cami under it like I am. You can see through the weave design, and it can be chilly if the wind is blowing.

The Wide-leg crop jeans have a raw hem, which is a modern-looking detail. Small details like that keep you looking youthful without looking like you’re trying too hard. I like the length of these, and they show off my cap toe slingbacks. The shoes are from last year, and I think I like this year’s version more. They are ivory and have rattan weave details.
That’s it for this week’s What I Wore post. I hope you are enjoying these posts, and be sure to leave a comment about which outfit you liked the best.
