Fall Outfit Inspo: 5 Everyday Look From Saks
This post is sponsored by Saks Fifth Avenue.
I have officially said goodbye to summer and have my head deep into fall everything. I maaaybe even watched some Halloween movies with my nephew this week (and Christmas movies, shhhh). Fall decor will follow suit shortly.
But, back to why we’re here. I came up with five looks for some fall outfit inspo all from Saks Fifth Ave — my place for the ultimate ‘fit ideas. There’s been a ton of deliberation behind-the-scenes on what pieces for fall we’re truly inspired by and can see ourselves wearing throughout the season. Serious business, here.
I’m slowly but surely narrowing down my fave trends for the upcoming season. Without fail, Saks always has the things I’m lookin’ for, so you’ll see most of what I’m leaning towards in the outfits, below. Consider this my Fall Outfit Edit.
1. Not Just For Lounging
This is the type of thing you can see me wearing on the day-to-day. So, I try to invest in good-quality lounge clothes that work for leaving the house, too. I’d pop on some sort of interesting jacket for the chillier days like a fleece or a not-the-classic denim jacket. Oh, and I’m bringing my Converse back out this year. It’s official.

NOTES: Fear Of God’s Essentials line is one of my all-time faves for casual lounge clothes…highly, highly recommend. I wear one of the sweatshirts non-stop and it’s the softest hoodie I own. Some of their pieces fall under the men’s section, but really it’s all unisex. Just doublecheck for sizing (you might need to size down). I sometimes wear my usual size for an oversized moment if it’s labeled as men’s.
2. Farmers Market Sundays
In my most romanticized life, I’m going to a farmers market every Sunday in fall and buying fresh ingredients for a homemade dinner (before the Eagles play). Ahh, a girl can dream, haha. When this happens (this is me, manifesting), I’d wear a cozy crewneck, jeans and Birks. Birks in case some heat is still lingering, sneakers or boots for chilly days. I’d have the prettiest Moroccan basket backpack to pop my veggies, fruits and fresh flowers in.

NOTES: How freakin’ cute are these Polo crewnecks? I was clearly torn between the teddy and the green and cream stripes. This color combo is officially in my forever wardrobe. PS: check out the teddy one on, the slouchy arms are great. And, did you notice the bag charms? They’re everywhere right now and I think they’re so fun. It’s an easy way to personalize simple bags.
3. A Little Retro
I’ve been loving the vintage-inspired pieces out there. From sweater tops to purses and jewelry, it’s making me want to go vintage shopping for some cool home decor, ASAP.

NOTES: This bag is the epitome of sequins done correctly. Iloveitsomuch. As for the tops — I’m into the cardigan styles with the buttons, but that other mock-neck one looks so good on, too. And, you probably know I’m eyeing all of the cuffed jean styles as of late. I can’t be stopped!
4. Dress Up A Rain Coat
Rain coats are the type of thing I always thought were worn for function and not fashion. But 1. I’m here to admit I was wrong and 2. I think depending on which pieces you wear under, you can totally dress it up.

NOTES: I’m short and curvy, so I especially love the way flares fit me. They’ll be in my closet for the rest of my life, you can quote me on that. These L’Agence ones are velvet, though, and a super super dark pine color. How fun?! Ahhh another sweater top, too. I cannot get enough of the textures. They’re the best for getting that fall feel when it’s too warm for a full-on sweater.
5. Romantic Tops With An Edge
I’ve been swooning over the lacy, romantic tops I’ve been seeing. I can so see myself adding more soft tones to really give a romantic vibe, but right now I’m leaning towards some edgy pieces like black boots, dark-wash jeans and silver jewelry. I’d be tempted to wear them with ballet flats, too.

NOTES: I’ve been eyeing striped jeans for a bit now, but then I came across this dark-wash version and I LOVE. I’d mix and match it with so many things. I love the way gold jewelry and accessories look, but admittedly…I tend to wear a ton of silver. And these silver bags in particular are here to stay.
Hope this gave you guys some fall outfit inspo!
