Adam Sandler Trades in His Casual Wear for a Dressier Look in a Rare Style Moment

Adam Sandler is proving that his style is more versatile than people may think.

The acclaimed actor, 58, was dressed to impress at Hotel Excelsior in Italy on August 27 during the 82nd Venice International Film Festival, where he is representing the upcoming Noah Baumbach film, Jay Kelly.

Sandler rocked a black polo shirt and blue-gray dress pants that he paired with a black belt, black shoes with white bottoms, and stylish brown sunglasses.

The day prior, he was spotted in Venice wearing coral-colored Nike basketball shorts and a button-down shirt that featured leopards and palm trees. He finished the look with hot pink and black sneakers and a pair of brown sunglasses (which appear to be the same shades he sported with his dressier look).

The comedy legend is known for his comfortable and quirky fashion sense that often blends different patterns and includes basketball shorts, oversized T-shirts, hoodies, and sneakers.

Despite his affinity for casual clothing, Sandler has become a Generation Z style icon.

When asked if he was aware of this phenomenon in an August 2024 red carpet interview with People, the Happy Gilmore star replied, “You know, this is an accidental thing, but here I am wearing goofy clothes—and I don’t know, I don’t think about it, but I appreciate you saying that.

Sandler further opened up about his fashion sense in an August 2025 appearance on The Jennifer Hudson Show.

In a clip from the interview posted on TikTok Hudson, 43, asked, “What do you call your fashion, and your swag?”

The New York native respond, “Mine is..I don’t know how…it’s just…people talk to me a lot about it lately.”

Sandler stars in the upcoming movie JayKelly, which is set to be released in select theaters on November 14, 2025 and will be available for streaming on Netflix on December 5, according to Tudum.
